Painting began for Joanna at a very early age, determination, perseverance, and passion for art has now resulted in a successful career.
At 16, Joanna's first sold out exhibition was subsequently followed by several commissioned works. In 2003, Joanna ventured to Switzerland, and in that time exhibited the works successfully, selling everything she produced.
Over a number of years, Joanna’s love of buildings has evolved into the surreal style it is today. She enhances the building’s character using emotion and light for impact. The works are imaginative, provocative, colourful, whimsical, and reflect the extraordinary landscape and culture of the world we live in.
Early on, she developed a technique consisting of oil painted on a textured clay surface, but has since changed to the use of acrylics. As well as extending style and technique, Joanna's aim is to continually portray a message of love for people, animals and the environment.
